Our non-linear editing computers edit video in the native DV format, meaning it does not have to change it into something different to save space on the hard drives. This eliminates buildup of artifacts that can cause digital video to deteriorate with similar results as you would see with analog video that had been copied from one tape to another. Our systems stores video on computer hard disks that are fast and large enough to hold the native DV video. These drives are fast enough to playback two or three video streams at once in real-time in order to produce special effects in real-time editing. Because this kind of real-time DV compressed video uses so much disc space we have a very large storage capacity on are computers (over 3600 GB). What does this mean to you? This means we don't have to dump your project to make room for the next one, we are able to store your video for you for a reasonable amount of time. |

The advantage of nonlinear editing system is that it allows you to make changes quickly and easily anywhere in the video greatly reducing the time required to edit as compared with the old tape method. This is especially useful for editing short projects such as commercials where you need to make changes and see the results instantly. This is also good for event videos where you may have two or three cameras rolling continuously. We have even put together someone's wedding footage that were shot with three different cameras, some cameras ran continuously, others did not. We are able to piece together into an A\B\C role edit. When we are editing non digital tape such as VHS or 8mm, we capture it in the same DV format as we used for digital tape. This will not improve the quality of the original tape, but it will keep it from further deteriorating as would occur in a tape to tape edit. |

With a nonlinear editor you can you can manipulate the video just about any way you can imagine, such as creating smooth slow motion from video shot at normal speed. Creating special effects like fly on titles to give your video something extra. Editing audio tracks and adding voiceover to the productions of better benefit of nonlinear editing. This is way beyond the free software that is bundled with Windows operating system which compresses their video into a mpg format to conserve space on your system drive. The final output of your video production is burned to DVD, and we can even custom print the DVD and the DVD case itself |
