It is a well-known fact that magnetic recording tape such as VHS, VHS-C, 8MM, Hi8, D8, Mini DV or any magnetic tape format slowly deteriorates over a period of years leaving you with video that rolls or flips, has drop out and defects, or will not playback at all. Before this happens have your precious home videos converted to DVD video to last years longer than videotape if properly cared for. Standard Transfer Our standard transfer service includes trimming beginning and end of video to remove any raw tape recorded to the DVD. We can also customize a compression ratio to give you the best quality that corresponds with the links of source video. We can custom set the compression ratio within about five minutes of runtime of your video, from 60 minutes to four hours. (We recommend three hours or less, four-hour compression might have a slight quality loss) We can also put multiple tapes on a single DVD with a custom menu for each tape. Custom transfer would more likely be of interest to someone who might want to alter the contents of a tape before transferring to DVD. It also may be of interest to someone who has a tape that was produced for some type of commercial endeavor, and would like to modernize it to DVD with navigational aids included on the disc.
